Criticized for visually polluting cities, these visual manifestations – known as pichação – invaded the streets of São Paulo mainly in the 1990s. Since then, the grey monochromic aspect of the city has been broken by this dispute of paint and scribbles generating news in the media and dividing opinions. “Pichação não é pixação” comes to its second edition, revised, expanded, and now bilingual.
